Typographic Art: Rubik’s Cubes
Speed Cubes
As a method of studying type, I collaborated with my younger brother to create a type set out of Rubik’s Cubes. Each letter is pieced together using 25 3×3 cubes each, creating a 15×15 grid. Each letter is 13×13 squares with a 2 square margin. After mapping out the letterforms, my brother was able to solve the cubes in the necessary patterns to form the final letter.
